Participants to Discuss Best Practices to Align Sales and Marketing Efforts
Burlington, Mass.May 10, 2010NETSEA, the New England Technology Sales Executives Association, today announced its quarterly educational and networking event, "Aligning Sales and Marketing," will be held on Thursday, May 20, 2010, from 7:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. at the ZoomInfo Office in Waltham, Mass. A panel of enterprise sales and marketing executives will discuss ways to bring sales and marketing teams together to enhance business efforts. Key discussion points include major areas where sales and marketing are not aligned, main issues and challenges in sales and marketing alignment and critical changes needed for alignment—and how to make them. Panelists Karl Soderlund (Certeon), Manik Dhar (Oracle), Justin Steinman (Novell), Tom Siegel (BMC Software) and Joseph Hagan (Comverse) will share real-world examples and success stories that illustrate both the benefits and challenges of bringing the sales and marketing teams together, as well as the critical changes needed to assure common business goals can be achieved. "Social media has changed sales and marketing operations, but it hasn't necessarily improved collaboration between the functions," said Scott Devens, newly appointed board chairman and president of NETSEA. "Our panelists will highlight the major areas where sales and marketing are not aligned and will discuss the critical changes needed to combine these efforts to enhance and achieve business objectives." Following the panel discussion, a Q&A session will allow attendees to ask questions specific to their organization and situation. Location and Registration Information Directions to the ZoomInfo office are available here. Media representatives are also encouraged to attend.
