Waltham, Mass.—May 12, 2009—NETSEA, the New England Technology Sales Executives Association, today announced its quarterly educational and networking event, "Effective Sales Compensation in a Down Economy," will be held on Tuesday, May 19, 2009, from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at the Schwartz Communications Conference Center in Waltham, Mass.

A panel of senior sales executives will share their insight on how to keep sales professionals motivated in the current economy. Keynote speaker Liz Cobb (Makana Solutions), along with panelists Mark Szypko (Salary.com) and Brian Geery (Litle & Co.) will share proven techniques and innovative models that motivate sales professionals and drive continued success.

The executive panel will also discuss four key points, including how to:

  • Retain your sales superstars and best customers
  • Create incentives that drive the top and bottom line
  • Adjust plans without turning off your sales force
  • Set expectations and manage and reward accountability

"Our panelists bring an experienced perspective on incenting sales managers to find and close revenue in a difficult economic environment" said Lauren Kelley, board chairman and president of NETSEA. "Some of our panelists have had significant success over the past few months with new incentive plans to drive sales and develop new markets and we will be hearing about their best practices on May 19th."
